1994-1997: Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) College of Fine Arts, Hyderabad. India Gold Medalist – GPA 3.9
SELECTED HONORS AND AWARDS:
 
  • Honored with the Morris Sheer Fellowship based on outstanding Photography Portfolio, Savannah College of Art and Design, Spring 2000- to present.
  • Achieved the prestigious international honor, the Associate Ship of Royal Photographic Society (ARPS) of Great Britain in March 1997.
  • Won many national and international medals in competitions organized worldwide by Photographic Society of America (PSA) and Royal Photographic Society (RPS), Great Britain.
  • Prints are in permanent collection of Museum of India International Photographic Council, (IIPC), India and in Museum of Integrated Tribal Development Association, (ITDA), Department of Tribal Development, Government of India, New Delhi.

Profile

After finishing my diploma in fine art photography in early 2000's from RSP, my real interest in photographic art was discovered and was hooked to the medium. With this interest, I resigned my job as a lead UI analyst for VIRTUSA INDIA Pvt. Ltd., where I used to design and develop user interfaces for web and other applications.

With this real time experience of 10 years in media and design, I started Fotogenix design studio, bringing visions into visual reality... in Hyderabad to continue as a full time professional photographer in fashion and wedding industry. My association with RSP and participating in various photography exhibitions and salons fine-tuned my art and my work was well received and appreciated from all quarters.

I'd love to play with the main ingredients i.e. light and shadows and try to achieve the class and elegance of fine art photography. As a photographer, my goal is to capture the feeling and soul of what falls within my camera frame, which are enhanced by unique angles, interesting colors, textures, patterns, and shapes.

To Share my knowledge and experience, I associated with RSP as a faculty and be a part of creative minds, which is offering premier education in commercial and fine art photography.
